How to care for Gymnogeophagus balzanii fish in an aquarium

Gymnogeophagus balzanii is a type of freshwater fish found in streams in South American countries such as Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. 

In the breeding process, Gymnogeophagus balzanii fish reproduce by laying eggs. Gymnogeophagus balzanii fish can grow to a length of 18 cm. 

Gymnogeophagus balzanii fish when viewed from its body shape and color is suitable to be used as a pet fish in your home because this fish has a unique shape and attractive body color.

1. maintenance container. 

For the maintenance container, a rectangular aquarium can be used with the amount of aquarium water needed to maintain the fish, which is 220 liters. Then to keep the water quality in the aquarium to remain good then we also need to install aerators and water filters. Aerators function to increase the dissolved oxygen content into the water and water filters function to maintain water quality so that water quality remains optimal. 

In addition, we can install accessories in the form of water plants and rocks in the aquarium. These water plants and rocks are installed with the aim of beautifying the aquarium and to create an aquarium environment similar to the environment where fish live in nature.
