Horseface Loach

Horseface loach (Acantopsis dialuzona) has a unique head shape and very shy behavior. This loach is nocturnal.

Requirements:

      ·         Needs colder water temperature (40 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit or 4 to 25 degrees Celsius)
      ·         Prefer moonlight lamp in the tank
      ·         Needs at least 15-gallon tank to thrive

Tiger Loach

Tiger loach (Chromobotia macracanthus) has a striped, black and peach body. It is one of the most popular loach types.

Requirements:

      ·         Needs warm water temperature (75 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit or 24 to 30 degrees Celsius)
      ·         Needs at least 20-gallon tank due to its size
      ·         Needs to live in a school of six fish (at least)
      ·         Can only live with its other species

Weather Loach

Weather loach (Misgurnus angullicaudatus) is one of the few loaches that can live without school. It likes moderate water temperature and thrives among different peaceful fish.

Requirements:

      ·         Needs water temperature of 64 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit (18 to 24 degrees Celsius)
      ·         Requires at least 20-gallon tank
      ·         Sensitive to temperature and weather changes

Kuhli Loach

Kuhli loach (Pangio kuhlii) is a nocturnal loach. It thrives in a small school with its own kind, like tiger loach.

Requirements:

      ·         Needs warm temperature (75 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit or 24 to 30 degrees Celsius)
      ·         Needs at least 15-gallon tank
      ·         Requires enough hidden space and night/moon light in the tank
